1. Acceptance

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the laws of The Bahamas.

3. Information on this site

We publish programme details, schedules and figures in good faith and review them regularly. Schedules may change at short notice, particularly during hurricane season. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial or educational advice, and the health screening described here is a screening and referral service, not diagnosis or treatment.

4. Programme participation

• Programmes are free and open to residents of New Providence subject to available capacity.
• Participants are asked to provide accurate information at intake; assistance obtained by misrepresentation may be withdrawn.
• We may suspend participation where a person's conduct threatens the safety of staff, volunteers or other participants.
• Participation is never conditional on religious observance, political support, or any payment.

5. Volunteering

Volunteering is unpaid and creates no contract of employment. Volunteers must complete orientation, observe our code of conduct and confidentiality undertaking, and, where the role involves children, satisfy a police certificate check. Either the volunteer or the Foundation may end the arrangement at any time without notice.

6. Donations

Donations are applied to the charitable purposes of the Foundation. Where a gift is restricted to a named programme, we honour that restriction; if that programme is fully funded or discontinued, we will contact the donor before reallocating the gift. Receipts are issued for all monetary gifts. Donations are generally non-refundable once applied, though we will correct genuine errors reported within thirty days. We accept no gift whose source or conditions would compromise our independence or non-discrimination policy.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not submit false, abusive, unlawful or misleading content through our forms.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or interfere with its operation.
• Do not use Foundation contact details for unsolicited commercial messages.

8. Intellectual property

The Foundation name, crest and the text and images on this site belong to the Foundation or are used with permission. You may quote or reproduce material for non-commercial community, educational or news purposes with attribution. Commercial reuse requires written permission.

9. Third-party links and embeds

This site includes an embedded map and may link to partner organisations. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.

10. Limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, the Foundation is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on information published on it. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and the courts of The Bahamas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12. Changes

We may revise these terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect when published on this page with an updated review date.
